Did a quick photo shoot at the end of the day on Friday at Otakon. Proud of my armor, it held up for both days. I am exausted after wearing it for two days.

How-?

I don’t-

WHAT!?

How is this feasible?

You made that!?

Please tell me you get paid to do stuff like this!  You could make a killing.

Yep! I made it! I’m actually going to college for special effects and I want to focus on cosplay and props! I’m open for commissions. But I haven’t got any yet, I also help out with squidbot cosplay that a couple of friends of mine created.

Just be aware the ask doesn’t work yet

Digimon Tamers: Little Wonders

I’m not really all that into AMVs, but I came across this gem last night, and I sobbed. And I kept sobbing for like an hour. You know that weird, warm, emotional feeling that you get that’s sort of mingling with a sense of nostalgia? This AMV did that to me. There’s just something so incredibly touching about it.

Since I’m going abroad this year, even though our birthdays aren’t until September, me, sketch-wolf and our brother’s birthday party (with our family) is tomorrow. Therefore, I used most of today on baking and decorating this years fandom themed cake.

A digivice cake in honor of Digimon’s 15 year anniversary this year.

I’ve been on an off-and-on Digimon kick for the past few weeks so here’s a Wargreymon doodle.
(The broken horn comes from the fact that one of my favorite toys as a kid was a Wargreymon figure whose horn broke ages ago. He’s still sitting on my desk. I just kinda draw him like that now.)

Love the little edits people do to make their digimon unique.

First one’s way cute but she looks like Ken, so just make her hair longer, right? OTL

Personally prefer the short hair with the backpack.

Worth cheeking out the interview. Most people recognize him and his son for the Wargreymon and Tai photos. Which are adorable as hell

Ok so I’ve been quiet about this for some time now, and I thought I should break that silence and make this public. (Hey other people are posting art PSA’s, this ain’t new)
We are Artists, We are many
Being a artist on Tumblr alone isnt easy. There are millions of other people  doing the exact same thing you’re doing. Amongst all of them you can be overlooked so easily. Now I am familiar with all those PSAs about not worrying about being popular and loving your own art. Thats all well and good, no ones debating that. But we artist want to share our art with the world. We want to show everyone what we can do.
The Wall
When we receive praise and love for our work, thats the best feeling in the world for us. We all have friends, fellow artists or not, that support us. But here on Tumblr, your art might not get pushed out into the crowd. For myself as an example, I get a 1 reblog for every 10 likes on something. And this is only including when I originally post it. When art post is liked, no one else sees it. Likes stay hidden and don’t appear on others dashes. (And yes, some blog themes do show likes, this I am aware)
Likes are good, but Reblogs do a lot more
When someone reblogs your art, a whole new set of people get to see it. Most of them are people who have never seen your stuff before. For example, whenever Carbines Official WIldstar Tumblr reblogs my Wildstar art, I get bombarded with likes, reblogs even follows! But before that, when I post it in the first place, not much happens. Dont get me wrong, I’m grateful I get anything, but feedback and notoriety is what keeps an artist like me going, and many others as well. Now I may understand that sometimes something someone draws isn’t your cup of tea, that’s alright! But even if you show a little interest, a reblog does a world of difference.
Support your friends, Support those who care
I know this is all sounding a little preachy, but it’s something I needed to get off my chest. There are no complaints, there are no orders, just a call out from all us artists. From the big and professional, to the small and unseen. We all want to share our art with the world, and it can all begin with a reblog.
( I dont think I need to say that everyone should reblog this, it goes without saying no?)

reblogging for  awareness

This is why I require the source. The artist, cosplayer, or whoever created it deserves the credit.

verdantwinter:

Part 9!

This week we have some overdue characters who I felt deserved their own digimon!

Phillip is the partly original character I was discussing last week. He’s based visually on the Phillip from Sleeping Beauty, there are two dashing heroes in the disney canon named Phillip so it felt like an appropriate name. He serves as the “Prince” characters for a lot of the princesses whose love interests didn’t make the (my) cut. As befitting a royal prince, he got a squirrel.

As for Jasmin: I’ve been wanting to do a ridiculous large building digimon for a while, and the tiger motif of the cave of wonders seemed to fit pretty well. She’s also a very sheltered kid, and I liked the symbolism of her being able to trap others herself.  (I don’t know if this needs saying: but her last form is just an ultimate, not an ultimate and a mega).

Anyway. Have some new Disneymon!

Next Week: Vagrant characters are arriving who may be a bit of a departure from the norm.
